Well it is the truth... today is my birthday and I am now 56 years old. Truly amazing and just a bit unsettling to realize that I am now... one of the old guys! I have so much to be grateful for as I have truly lived and amazing life so I choose not to be to depressed or even concerned about my age. Your are only as old as you feel and somedays I feel much older than I am but today is a great day. The Lord Jesus has been so good to me and given more than any man deserves; salvation, great parents, a wonderful wife and two godly, gifted children. If that were not enough, He called me into the ministry and has allowed me to preach the good news of His great salvation for the last 25 years... thank You Jesus! I remain healthy and while not as flexible or strong as I once was I am still active and not on any medication!
So with the passing of another year I am able to reflect on the goodness of God and His great mercy that has been bestowed upon my life. I am looking forward to a great dinner out with the family tonight and a good day with my church family tomorrow!
